Be ready for a very busy year in Language Arts filled with reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and spelling. We will have a great year filled with a lot of learning and tons of fun! :o)
We will be using the Wonders reading series throughout the year. You can find the link under Online resources. All of the weekly vocabulary words and grammar skills come from the Wonders curriculum.
Students will be using Quia for taking spelling tests. There will also be other grammar skills to practice on the Quia class page.
Writing is part of our everyday curriculum and throughout the year we will focus on four modes of writing. Students will work on descriptive, story, research, and persuasive writing. The students will also write and publish a biography book during 4th quarter.
