This is me!

Here is a little bit about me. I was born in Mitchell, South Dakota. When I was four, my Dad bought a mechanic shop in Battle Creek, Nebraska so we loaded up the car and moved to Battle Creek. We lived in a trailer court right on a lake just outside of town. I went to school at Battle Creek Public from kindergarten all the way through to my senior year. When I was in fourth grade we moved into town. After I graduated from high school I went to Northeast Community college in Norfolk, Nebraska. Then I took a few years off from school and I got married and had a son. In 1998 we moved to Omaha and I went back to college at Dana College in Blair to become a teacher.  I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in 2002 and was hired by LPS to work at Sheridan Elementary. I then went on to work a year at Dawes Middle School, then Scott Middle School, and then back to Dawes which felt like home. While at Dawes I went back to college on Grant money from LPS and received my Masters Degree in Historical Arts through Nebraska Wesleyan. Now, I am in my 8th year at McPhee, my 15th year of teaching,  and I am excited to start a new year. I am a lifelong learner and I love to instill that excitement of learning in my students as well.
