Students answered the question, “Why should we study history?” They created their own quote after reading information from Ch. 1 in A History of US by Joy Hakim. They added some notes to their notebook to summarize Hakim’s answer.
Assignment: 1)You Can Quote Me! 2) One page personal history.
1) Students are to create their own quote to answer the question, “Why is it important to study history?” They are to use the “Source, Comma, Quote” format to create their quote on page 6 in their notebook.
2) Students are to write a one page story about a special event from their own past on page 7 in their notebook.
