The original opening day of school was delayed by two weeks due to supply chain issues experienced nation-wide in the construction industry after the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020-22. Construction was focused on the north side of the building in an effort to be able to allow students and teachers access by the end of August 2022. The student academic day was extended by 17 minutes in the first year to assist students with recovering the instructional time missed due to the delay in opening. Once school started, construction efforts focused on the unfinished south side of the facility where an additional 12 classroom were readied for the expected enrollment growth. The school gymnasium and playground were opened in October, with the remaining construction brought to a close by the end of first semester.
