Spanish 2

1) I marked credit for two assignments – the questions over chocolate/tomates/maíz/chiles AND the flamenco video questions.

**Show me your answers and ask to see the answer key.**

2) We reviewed 5.1 vocabulary with flashcards and definitions.

3) We learned how to add “ísimo” to an adjective. Adding “ísimo” changes the meaning of the adjective to “very or extremely __________.” Example: La comida está saladísima. The food is extremely salty. (Notice how you have to drop the vowel, if there is one, and that “ísimo” has to match the noun.)

**See p. 258 in your book, and then write the notes on the back of your 5.1 vocabulary sheet. That way you’ll have all of your 5.1 information on the same sheet of paper.**

4) We had time to work on two assignments:

A) Write 7+ commands for tourists who are going to visit Spain. Use different verbs for each command (visit, go to, eat, try, take lessons, learn, practice, dance, buy, etc.) and give reasons for your recommendations. Also, include “ísimo” in at least 2 of your reasons. (Example for tourists coming to Lincoln: Visiten el Capitolio. Es altísimo y tienen una buena vista de Lincoln.) You can get ideas for Spain recommendations from the flamenco video, pp. 250-251 in your book, the Madrid video clip we saw, and the Spanish foods video we watched.)

B) Write definitions in Spanish for 12-15 vocabulary words from our current unit (5.1). Example: Es una fruta amarilla y es agria:  el limón.

5) La tarea – Finish A and B from above.

6) Our 5.1 QUIZ will be Thursday. Study well so you can earn every single point possible!

4) La tarea – pensar en el tema y estilo de la obra maestra que vas a pintar.

5) **¡Ven después de clases para hablar y ganar tus puntos!**
