1) I marked credit for the homework assignment – the worksheet over “¿Qué te gusta? and “¿Adónde van?”

2) We reviewed the verb gustar one more time – with a cat video and with a written exercise or two, depending on the class.
3) We listened to the daily routine of Carlos and his family – where each person goes – and then answered questions about what we heard. (pp. 14-15 in your book)
4) We did Act. 14, p. 17, to practice the forms of “ir” and when to use “al, a la, a los, a las” after the form. In this case, “a + el/la/los/las” means “to the.” You use “al” (remember that a+el contracts to “al”) when you’re going to a singular masculine place, “a la” when it’s a singular feminine place. Use “a los” and “a las” for plural places, masculine or feminine.
Examples: Voy al teatro. Voy a la oficina. Voy a los juegos de fútbol. Voy a las tiendas.
5) We reviewed the verb “estar,” the forms, and when to use this verb. (How you feel, where you are, always use the verb estar.) Write these forms on the verb section of your vocabulary list: estar=to be, yo estoy, tú estás, él/ella/Ud. está, nosotros estamos, ellos/ellas/Uds. están. Notice the accent marks on 3 of the forms.
6) La tarea – 1/2-sheet to practice the verbs “estar” and “tener” with feelings.

3) Escuchamos/Leímos las reseñas (reviews) de 6 restaurantes, pp. 20-21 de tu libro.
4) Hablamos con otros estudiantes de la clase sobre el cartel que prepararon “Lee todo sobre mí”.**
5) La tarea – escribe 2-3 reseñas sobre restaurantes que visitas. Puedes seguir los ejemplos en las pp. 20-21, pero debes escribir reseñas más largas porque solamente estás escribiendo 2-3 reseñas.
6) Recuerda que el EXAMEN sobre la Lección Preliminar es este viernes, el 28 de agosto, ¡así que debes seguir estudiando!
