1) I marked credit for the homework assignment – the Vocabulario A 1/2-sheet (with Act. 1, p. 200 on the back for Periods 3 and 4). (Period 2 did not have written homework.)
2) We played ¡Verbo! with the imperfect verb forms.
**For credit: Write the 5 forms of any 5 of the following verbs: bailar, mirar, escuchar, ayudar, jugar comer, hacer, beber, correr, vivir, escribir, Put your sheet in the “Tarea aquí” box when you are done.**
3) La tarea for all classes: the “4.1 vocabulary” sheet
**Take a copy from the left folders.**
4) **Bring 3 things from your childhood for “Show and Tell” on Friday! (You can bring pictures or drawings of them, if you don’t want to bring the actual items.)
5) PERIODS 1 AND 3 – We learned the imperfect forms of the verb “ser” (ser – era, eras, era, éramos, eran). We talked about another reason to use the imperfect: description in the past, setting up a story. We practiced setting the scene for a story.
Example: Había una vez una princesa fea que vivía en un palacio. Ella se llamaba Rachel y era muy simpática, pero tenía un problema. Estaba enamorada del enemigo de su padre, el emperador. Su padre no le permitía hablar con Gregorio, el enemigo. Por eso, Rachel estaba muy triste…
