Spanish 2
1) We did an activity to practice verb conjugation with regular -ar, -er, and -ir verbs. Be sure that this is almost automatic for you.
2) We started to review “stem-changing” verbs – verbs that also have changes in the “root” or “stem” of the verb. Example: pensar. Pensar is an -ar verb conjugated with the -ar endings (o, as, a, amos, an), but it also changes in the stem – “pens.” The “e” in “pens” changes to “ie” in every form except nosotros: pienso, piensas, piensas, pensamos, piensan.
**Ask a classmate or me for the notes.**
3) We practiced questions with stem-changing verbs, and then all had to answer one of the questions, randomly selected. Be sure you can answer questions such as : ¿Cuántas horas duermes típicamente? , ¿Dónde almuerzas? , ¿A qué deportes juegas? , ¿A qué hora vuelves a casa después de la escuela? , ¿Qué quieres hacer esta noche?
4) We had time to finish answering the questions from the Celia Castillo/Margarita Vallejo reading. (white 1/2-sheet we got on Wednesday)
5) La tarea – a practice sheet with stem-changing verbs.
**Take a copy from the left, front folder.**
