Fifth graders have been learning and practicing skills with yarn. Students have used finger knitting, knitting needles, looms, and crochet hooks to create long textile strands.

Each class brainstormed possible locations for a “Yarn Bomb” installation around Sheridan. We submitted our ideas to Dr. Currin and the District Office for approval and adjusted our goals as we gathered more information. Students worked together to create temporary displays of their work. I’m so proud of the skills, flexibility, and teamwork our young artists used to make this project a success!
