We are so excited to transition our new students to Mickle next year!
According to the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE), middle grades learning for students between the ages of 11 – 14 is quite different from early childhood and mid to late teens. Student behavior, readiness to learn, and appropriate types of learning are all unique to this age group. Even within the short span of ages 11 – 14, students will change drastically as they grow from childhood to adulthood. According to research from the California Science Teachers Association, other than the first three years of life, middle grades are when children are most transformed.
