Illusion Theatre will be back at Mickle Oct. 26th for 7th Graders and October 27th for 6th Graders.

Attention Mickle Families! We are looking for adults to volunteer at our Waffleman Fundraiser on Tues. Oct 25th!  You can sign up for shifts by visiting the following website and signing for a shift!  Choose from the following shifts: 4:30-6:00pm, 5:30-7:30pm or 7-8pm. http://www.volunteerspot.com/login/entry/592345634464092013

As a service to our community and a fundraising effort for our school, a student phone directory for families of Mickle Middle School students has been compiled.  The directory will be sold for $1.00 in the office.  Names of ALL our students are included in this directory along with phone book style information (names, mailing address, phone number).  Parent/guardian names are also included.  Families with “unlisted” home information have contact info excluded.

Mickle’s Planner Word of the Week: Diligence- Be diligent with your work habits. Organization and thoroughness will take you far!

CONGRATULATIONS Eleanor Jorgenson for being selected as a finalist in the city wide “Talent for TeamMates” Competition.  Come support Eleanor by attending the final competition on Sunday – October 23rd at 4 p.m. at St. Mark’s Church. Tickets are on sale at the Mickle Main Office.

Belmont Recreation Center 6-8 GRADE TEEN NIGHT Friday Oct. 21st from 7:00-9:00p.m (stay in the center the whole time) at the Belmont Recreation Center 1234 Judson. Play basketball, volleyball, kickball in the gym. Go to the game room for pool, table tennis, foosball.  Pick out a board game & have some fun with a friend.  Snacks and drink provided! Tennis shoes are required and student id.

SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL” T-shirt orders are due in to Mrs. Johnson by the end of the day on Friday, October 14th.  Friday, October 14th will be the LAST DAY you may order a shirt.

Turn in clipped boxtops to your first period teacher this week.  The first collection will be on Friday the 14th.  The 2 classes with the highest percentage turned in will win an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.  All individuals who bring in boxtops will be put in the individual drawing to win other prizes.  Please trim your boxtops and put them in a baggie or envelope with your name and 1st period teacher’s name on the baggie/envelope.

I am again taking orders for Stop Bullying t-shirts.  You can order one in Mickle blue, purple, hot pink or the national “Stop Bullying” color teal.  Orders will be taken through Friday, October 14th.  If you would like to order, choose your color and bring your $10  to Mrs. Kiburz in room 121.

For those that need them, picture retakes are scheduled for Wednesday, October 19th in the afternoon. Talk with your parents and then stop in the office and put your name on the retake SIGN UP SHEET.  Your old pictures and envelope need to be returned to the photographer on retake day in their original condition.

Yearbooks can be ordered in Room 125 between 7:30 – 7:55 tomorrow and next Tuesday mornings. Price is $18.00 until January.  Get your receipt for your order from Mrs. Searls in room 125.  Thanks

Student Directories are now available for sale for $1.  You can purchase your copy of the Student Directory in the office or during lunch in the cafeteria.
