Announcements for Parents – #Robinmicklems:

Have warms clothes to Donate??  Bring winter clothes to school with you on Friday, Nov 4th to be donated for Bubba’s closet winter school clothing drive for elementary- age kids.  On  Saturday, November 23 from 8:30 – 9:30am, donated clothes will be made available at Riley Elementary where elementary students and their families can pick out items to adopt and use.  Thanks for any help you can provide on this short notice!

PTSO is in need of volunteers to help with the fundraiser distribution on Thursday, November 3rd, beginning at 2pm.  If you are able to help out, please contact Jay Uhlman at 402-429-7145. 

 

As a head’s up for planning purposes, this coming today, after 2:45pm, frozen food items from the fall PTSO fundraiser will be delivered to Mickle for student/family pick up from our cafeteria.  Often, students with items have a hard time getting those products delivered home without some transportation assistance.  Please begin to discuss a plan with your student for that Thursday, Nov 3 pick up date.

 

IB Academy Day at Lincoln High.  If you or your student are interested in information regarding the International Baccalaureate (IB) program please have your student stop in the main office to pick up a letter with information on the Academy Day at Lincoln High.

ADDITIONAL SATURDAY VACCINE CLINICS OFFERED FOR AREA STUDENTS

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department will hold additional Saturday clinics for students who need Varicella and Tdap vaccines, required by Nebraska schools this year. Only students who live in Lancaster County and who need Varicella or Tdap will be served. Tdap is needed for 7th graders only.

The clinics will be held on Saturday, November 12th, Saturday, November 19th, and Saturday, December 3rd from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department. The health department is located at 32nd and “O” streets. Parking is available just north of the building and clients may use the north entrance of the building, directly under the “Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department” sign.

You may now order tie dye stop bullying t shirts. They will be Mickle blue only and only in adult sizes.  The cost is $17. If you are interested, see Mrs. Kiburz in room 121.

The school wide Geography Bee will be here before you know it. In all social studies classes there will be a prelimenary test to identify the finalist for the bee. The winner of the Mickle Geography Bee will receive a $40 gift card of their choice. Second place will receive a $30 gift card of their choice and third will receive a $20 gift card of their choice. So start cracking those geography books for your chance to win!!

The Mickle Diversity Club will be meeting today from 3:00-4:00 is the media center.  Come join the fun and bring a friend.

As a head’s up, for those students that sold fundraiser items back in September, your products will be delivered to Mickle, today.

Yearbooks can be ordered in Room 125 between 7:30 – 7:55 tomorrow and next Tuesday mornings. Price is $18.00 until January.  Get your receipt for your order from Mrs. Searls in room 125.  Thanks
