School Supplies List

What school supplies do I need?

All students should have a backpack along with a lunch box, if needed, marked with their name.

According to Nebraska state law and LPS Policy, students are never required to bring any supplies to school. All supplies necessary for your child’s education will be supplied by LPS.

Some families have asked if they can help by donating supplies. Sometimes having extra supplies on hand is helpful especially when new students arrive, when markers go dry or items get misplaced. Teachers may have a special optional project planned that may require other resources, like notebooks, extra colored pencils or fabric.

IF YOU CHOOSE, you can certainly donate to a grade level ‘supply closet’ that will benefit everyone on the team. Later in the year there may be a time when a grade level sends out another grade level ‘supply closet request’ for a special classroom project.

If you are interested, you can also donate to area school supply drives. Please verify the organization collecting the supplies to ensure the donations are give to the students and schools that need the supplies the most.
Thank you so much for your willingness to help us launch our grade level supply closets. Thank you for being such an incredible group of parents!
