As a Third year and Compacted 3/4 Spanish teacher, I am glad to be teaching at East High! We have a great department that strives to challenge our students to do their very best. The culture, music and dialects of the different Spanish speaking countries have always interested me.
My Travels: Look for my pictures on the links!
My first trip out of the country was a home-stay visit to Torreón Coahuila, Mexico after my Junior year in High School. I lived 6 weeks with a wonderful family studying and traveling in Mexico. That experience opened my mind and changed my life, as I learned that languages are the connection to other cultures!
Since coming to East High to teach, I have traveled extensively in Spain in 2003 and 2005. My most memorable trip was in 2007 when I lived in the Amazon Rain Forest for 3 weeks and then toured Machu Picchu in Peru.
