Due to the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, students may choose to receive an S/U mark rather than a letter grade until December 22, 2020. In addition, there will not be a limit on the number of courses a student can select for S/U grading during the first semester of the 2020-2021 school year (Term 2). Please note the following if considering this option:
- The LPS Board Regulation regarding Honor Roll qualification still applies: Students with a 3.5 or higher weighted GPA on the previous semester’s coursework, including at least 30 graded credits (not included S/U) in a block school and 25 graded credits (not included S/U) in a non-block school are eligible for the Honor Roll.
- NCAA qualification still applies. http://www.ncaa.org/student-athletes/future/academic-standards-initial-eligibility
- NSAA qualification still applies. https://nsaa-static.s3.amazonaws.com/textfile/yb/2020-21ConstitutionAndBylaws.pdf
Students may request S/U grading for any/all classes by completing the appropriate form located in the FORMS section above. If you have questions about this process or whether it’s right for you, please contact your counselor.
