Midlands University – Softball Program’s Student Assistant Scholarship

Midlands University’s softball program is able to offer a scholarship opportunity for a position of “student assistant”.  This does not have to be someone that has played softball, although it could be.  There are a variety of roles these positions could take.

Ø Video Coordinator – someone interested in video and editing.  Help with game filming, practice filming/editing and creating/editing video we can use on our social media platforms.

Ø  Social Media Coordinator – someone interested in marketing & social media could get some great experience helping us with our team social media accounts, creating material and posting on different accounts.

Ø  Community Service Coordinator – someone interested in serving good causes to coordinate different community service projects for our team.

Ø  Strength & Conditioning Coordinator – someone who might be interested in human performance, strength training, etc.  Work with our strength coach to assist with team workouts, warm-ups and conditioning.  Great opportunity to get experience in this area.

Ø  Coaching – someone who might be interested in coaching could get directly involved in our practices and assist/learn in all aspects.

Again, this opportunity does come with a scholarship.  Exact amounts would depend on student GPA and ACT scores. If interested, please contact Mike Heard, Midland University Softball – Head Coach, at heard@midlandu.edu, 402-941-6038 – office or 402-616-6271 – cell.
