Students can get their college planning questions answered at All Access Day, a virtual college fair dedicated to helping them prepare for college. They can join us to:

When student visits five college profile pages on November 3rd they’ll be automatically entered in a drawing to win a $1,000 scholarship. They are encouraged to browse the millions of dollars in scholarships that colleges and universities are offering.

Susan Thompson Buffett Scholarship Workshop

Seniors interested in applying for the Susan Thompson Buffett Scholarship are invited to attend the STB Scholarship Workshop on Thursday, November 3rd in the B118 Forum from 3:15 to 4:00 pm.  The Susan T. Buffett Foundation has offered scholarships to Nebraska students for more than 50 years. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to first-time, entering freshmen who are residents of Nebraska and graduates of a Nebraska high school. After the November 1st online registration deadline for the workshop, seniors may still sign up in the Counseling Center though November 3rd if they are interested in attending this event.

True Red Deadline

The deadline for students to be True Red is tomorrow, November 2. Students who are interested in attending NEBRASKA next fall, are encouraged to apply before this deadline. They will receive a bunch of great benefits such as expedited scholarship decisions, priority registration for New Student Enrollment and housing (as long as the enrollment deposit is paid), and one last awesome giveaway.

2016 “Dear Grandchild” Contest

The 2016 “Dear Grandchild” letter contest is open from Nebraska’s 529 College Savings Plan. NEST’s “Contests & Scholarships” webpage explains grandparents can:

Write a letter to your grandchild, great niece or nephew, explaining your hopes and dreams for them and why higher education will be important. Share it before November 30, 2016 for a chance to be drawn as one of six (6) winners of a $1,000 scholarship.
