ACE Scholarship Update

The ACE Scholarship now has  a new process to reset passwords.  Students will now have the option of answering the three security questions or having a link emailed to them where they can change the password and update their security questions.  This new option is available now.  However, there is an issue with this process you need to be aware of…

When registering their account, students many times are providing their school email address. However, students should not use their school email address but rather an email address from another service provider (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.)

 

 

UNO’s Explore Innovation at PKI

Explore Innovation at PKI in Omaha, Nebraska. This exciting event is a collaboration of the UNL College of Engineering and the UNO College of Information Science & Technology, hosted at The Peter Kiewit Institute on the UNO Scott (Pacific) Campus. This event offers personal interactions with current students and faculty, all while touring the amazing facilities at PKI. You can learn about the majors offered by these colleges; ask questions about scholarships, housing, and college classes; and talk to individuals about how you can have a successful career in the engineering industry.

SCC Discovery Days

SCC will be hosting their Discovery Days, where you will receive answers to your questions about a variety of topics, including their Programs of Study, how to pay for college, support services, housing, and activities. UNO’s Goodrich Scholarship Program

UNO’s Goodrich Scholarship Program application period opened October 1, 2016 and closes March 1, 2017 at 5:00PM (CST).  Applicants can apply online at https://goodrich.fluidreview.com/. Unofficial high school transcripts and ACT/SAT scores are directly uploaded by the applicant in their Goodrich application account.

For convenience, please note that the EPPE is now offered online. Directions for this process can be reviewed at  http://www.unomaha.edu/enrollment-management/testing-center/placement-exams/english-placement-proficiency-exam.php. Applicants must have their UNO NetID credentials (username and password) to register for this free exam. The FINAL EPPE date that will be accepted by Goodrich applicants is February 25. Because the EPPE is now offered online, we will only offer the in person and on campus EPPE exam 3 times (February 11, 24 and 25). The February 24 exam will have limited seats.

Wartburg College’s Visit Days

Juniors and seniors interested in Wartburg College (http://www.wartburg.edu/admissions/) are encouraged to consider one of the visit days listed below. Many of these days have scholarships attached for seniors that attend. Click on one of the days below for more information about the day.

Students are reminded that Wartburg College accepts AP credits with qualifying scores.Click here for a complete list of AP classes and the scores needed to receive course credit. Students who file the FAFSA before November 1st will receive their packages by Christmas time from Wartburg College. Wartburg’s FAFSA code is: 001896

Students who received a Regents or Presidential Scholarship upon acceptance to Wartburg are eligible to attend Scholarship Day. Typically these are students who have a high school GPA of at least 3.5, rank in the top 25% of their class, and have an ACT composite of at least 23 (1080 SAT). By attending scholarship day, students will be eligible for additional scholarship money after an interview with a current student, a faculty member, and an alum. Dates for the Scholarship Days are below, if you have a student that is eligible please encourage them to attend
