2016 FALL CodeCrush Experience!

Due to overwhelming demand, UNO is opening up a second yearly Immersion Experience! Get ready for more ways to boost computer science education in your schools.

CodeCrush is a FREE immersion experience for 8th and 9th grade girls designed to show them the world of information technology (IT). Part of the UNO College of Information Science and Technology Women in IT Initiative, this program program was created to help show girls all the cool and crush-worthy things you can do with IT. While the IT sector grows every day, there are too few skilled professionals to fill open positions and even fewer women.

When is CodeCrush?

November 9 – 12th.

What does it cost?

Nothing! Meals, transportation around Omaha, lodging – it’s all free.

Who is eligible?

Students must be in 8th or 9th grade at the beginning of the 2016 school year, have parent permission and be nominated by a teacher/counselor/administrator who will also accompany them to the immersion experience. More than one student may be nominated.

Application deadline

October 5, 2016
