University of Minnesota Rochester: Nursing Guarantee Option

The University of Minnesota Rochester is excited to announce that it will be offering a  Nursing Guarantee option for students interested in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree through the University of Minnesota. This opportunity guarantees first year students entry into the University of Minnesota Twin Cities nursing program located on the Rochester campus their sophomore year provided they meet the program requirements.* Students will be able to complete all four years of the program on the University of Minnesota Rochester’s campus. Practicum work in this program will be conducted at Mayo Clinic. Students interested in this must apply directly to UMR. No Share My App’s accepted for UMR’s  Nursing Guarantee option.

Nebraska: Think Advanced Manufacturing Simulcast

Interested in learning more about opportunities in advanced manufacturing. Partnerships for Innovation will be sponsoring the Nebraska: Think Advanced Manufacturing Simulcast on October 13th at 10-1:30. This program will address:

  • Engaging with international company leaders
  • Exploring career opportunities in your community
  • Learning about advanced manufacturing programs from Nebraska Community Colleges and employers

Tourette Conference

A free Tourette Education Day for parents and students living with Tourette Syndrome will be held on Saturday, September 24th from 8:45-1:30 pm at Pyrtle Elementary School. Kathy Giordano, Education Specialist for the Tourette Association of America will be the speaker.

The program’s schedule is as follows:

  • 8:45-9:00       Registration
  • 9:00-9:50       Introductions
  • 10:00-10:15  Adults (How to advocate for your child), Students (Conversation starters)
  • 11:50-12:30  Lunch
