New important items from Cornell University’s Admissions Office includes: 1) New SAT policy information for Cornell, 2) Cornell’s new College of Business, and 3) the Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success.

With the introduction of the new SAT, we have developed two new websites that will be useful to students in regards to how changes to the test affect Cornell’s SAT policy: http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/new-sat-and-changes-admissions-policy and https://admissions.cornell.edu/standardized-testing-requirements.

The new College of Business at Cornell comprises the university’s three exceptional, accredited business schools: the School of Hotel Administration (SHA), the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Dyson), and the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson). The College of Business brings together the excellence and breadth of Cornell’s leading undergraduate, graduate, and professional business programs to create a more collaborative and comprehensive business management program, while preserving the individual excellence of the three schools. The new college will launch during the upcoming 2016-17 academic year. Students who want to study business can use the Common Application or the Universal College Application to apply to Cornell, choosing from the following options:Business – School of Hotel Administration (Major: Hotel Administration)

  • Business – Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Major: Applied Economics and Management)
  • Agriculture and Life Sciences – Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Major: Applied Economics and Management)

Note that the Applied Economics and Management major is the same program regardless of whether you select the College of Business or the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
