UNL Advanced Scholars Program

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) Advanced Scholars Program provides 11th and 12th grade high school students the opportunity to complete UNL college credit at a reduced tuition rate. We are currently accepting applications for the Spring 2016 Semester. The Application deadline is January 7, 2016 but students are encouraged to apply early.

The Advanced Scholars website has instructions for students on how to enroll, ordering textbooks, paying tuition, beginning their online course(s), and important dates.

Advanced Scholars Application Forms

Students applying for Advanced Scholars need to provide the following information:

  • UNL Visiting Student Application for Admission (to be completed online by the student). A one-time $45 application fee is required. This fee is waived if the student has applied to the University system within the last 12 months. The Visiting Student Application for Admission is good for only one semester.
  • High School Student Hour Approval Form (to be completed by the counselor and principal)
  • Tuition & Grades Signature Form (to be completed by the student and parent/guardian)

Nebraska high school students may qualify for the Access College Early (ACE) Scholarship Program offered by Nebraska’s Coordinating Commission for Post-secondary Education.
