Nebraska Virtual Scholars Program

The University of Nebraska is once again offering scholarships for online courses through the Nebraska Virtual Scholars program.   In support of Nebraska High Schools, this year scholarships will be available for 150 courses through the University of Nebraska High School (UNHS).

Here is an overview of this scholarship program:

–          Each Scholarship includes free tuition and materials for a 5 (.5 Carnegie units) credit UNHS course.

–          All Nebraska high schools are eligible.

–          Scholarships will be awarded with an emphasis on meeting the needs of rural and/or underserved student populations.

–          Applications will be accepted for fall, spring, and summer enrollment.

–          UNHS staff are available to provide support and consultation.

How to apply:

  1. Visit highschool.nebraska.edu/NEscholars. Click “Apply”
  2. Complete the short application form.
  3. Click “Send Application”

Applications will be accepted from now until October 1, 2014.  Schools will be notified whether or not they receive scholarships in mid-October.

UNHS offers more than 100 core, elective, and AP courses online.  All courses are available 24/7.
