Scholarship Searches

Seniors are reminded to register with ScholarshipQuest and such national scholarship searches as ScholarshipMonkey because several new scholarships have been recently added.

As a reminder, ScholarshipQuest includes scholarships offered by local, regional, and Nebraska organizations. New additions include:

Thousands of dollars in scholarships go unawarded each year because students to not take time to apply for them, especially ones that students do not consider to have a high dollar value. Please keep in mind that scholarships valued at $500 or less can easily accumulate to a a significant total dollar value. Organizations are seeking students who have the initiative & responsibility to search & apply for scholarships.

Scholarship applicants who need letters of recommendation should request these at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance of the deadline. Students are encouraged to provide information about the scholarship to the individuals writing recommendation letters. If needing information from their counselors, please submit that request at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance of the deadline. If a transcript is required, students must submit a Transcript Release Form to the Registrar’s Office at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance of the deadline. If a student is under 18, a parent/guardian’s signature is required on the form.
