Bright Lights has summer classroom assistant volunteer opportunities available for eighth grade through adults, to help students K-8th grades discover and pursue their passion in science, the arts, math, animals, music and robotics.

Over 200 assistants are needed to work with Bright Lights teachers in our hands-on classrooms. No prior Bright Lights or teaching experience is necessary.

Assistants are trained during a 90 minute session in May. Volunteers will log 20 hours during one week which will count for complete GOPO hours or other community hours. Anyone interested in an international experience will enjoy assisting at Lux Middle School the week of June 16-20 when students from Japan join our classes.

Bright Lights will accept applications online beginning February 14th through

March 21st,  at www.brightlights.org. Classes are held the weeks of June 2-6, June 16-20, July 7-11.

For questions about volunteering contact Barb Highstreet: bhighstreet@brightlights.org or 402-420-1115 ext. 49.
