The Acacia Leadership Scholarship is available for incoming male students who plan to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in the coming academic year. Acacia encourages and assists young men in developing themselves as leaders and balanced men during their college career.
Practice dates and music for the 2014 Youth Rally Multicultural Choir have been finalized. A diverse collection of area youth is welcomed to participate. This is an opportunity with a shorter time commitment and may be better suited for those with increased restriction on their time, enjoy various music genres or would like to just try a different extra-curricular opportunity. The choir will perform Monday, January 20, 2014 as part of the “Call to Action” portion of the program at the Nebraska State Capitol.
For more information or participation concerns contact Peter Ferguson Youth Rally & March Adult Adviser and LPS Youth Development Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or 402.436.1974.
Seniors: UNL Admissions will be here on 12/2/13 to assist any student that has NOT completed the application process to UNL. The session will be held in C113 at 8:00 A.M. Students can bring a methodof payment for the app fee if they do not qualify for free/reduced lunch. Students can also bring their official transcripts and the representative will take to the admissions office. They may want to bring an unofficial transcript as well in case they don’t remember which courses they’ve taken in high school. If students have ideas for their personal statement essays the UNL staff can helpthem work on those. See Mr. Ernst in the Counseling Center for a pass.
