Middle and high school scholars are invited to the 5:30-6:45 p.m.  Monday, November 18th informational meeting for the 19th Annual Youth Rally & March Multicultural choir. The meeting will be held at the Lincoln Public Schools District Offices 5905 “O” Street.

The choir often a highlight will perform at the Nebraska State Capital as part of the Monday, January 20, 2014 “Call to Action” portion of the 19th annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Youth Rally & March.

Those interested simply have to be enthusiastic about participating. They do not have to be an accomplished singer, LPS scholar in a school, church or organized choir. Music performed will be inspirational and have been chosen to uplift, educate and entertain including contemporary and gospel selections. This often represents a time for participants to sing and experience music they may not traditionally do in their respective school experience.  Meetings and practice schedule will be discussed and is manageable for those in multiple activities.

This years choir will be under the direction of Ms. Marla Styles and Mr. Jason Wagner II a former planning committee chair.
