University of Richmond Multicultural Overnight Visitation Experience

Richmond’s Multicultural Overnight Visitation Experience (MOVE) is a program designed for students of color and others who are especially interested in diversity and multicultural experiences. This two-day program will be held Sunday and Monday, November 10 and 11, 2013. High school seniors and their families are encouraged to attend.

MOVE will provide students with a glimpse into the University’s top-notch academic programs, exciting real-world opportunities, and active student and residential life: all aspects that make Richmond a truly unique place to grow and learn.

Prospective students will join panel discussions with faculty, students, and Multicultural Affairs professionals and interact throughout the day with our current students to learn about their Richmond experience and explore campus life. Students will be hosted overnight by a Richmond student on Sunday evening and then join other prospective students and their families on Monday for our Preview Richmond open house.

Attendees should be students who are interested in witnessing the personal and academic collaboration of a diverse community of scholars at Richmond. Participants should have at least a 3.5 GPA and be active members of their communities. Prospective students’ information should be submitted to to Kathy Cho Seldow, Senior Assistant Director of Admission, by October 4, 2013.

Space is limited, so please reserve space early. Once students register for the MOVE program on Sunday, November 10th, they will automatically be registered for the Preview Richmond program on Monday, November 11th. Please visit the Richmond website for more details.
