The NAACP Lincoln Branch has three (3) Community Service Scholarships available to Lincoln Public School (LPS) high school seniors. The amount of each scholarship is up to $1,000.
Any LPS high school 2013 graduating senior (regardless of race, gender, ethnic origin, or sexual orientation) who will attend a post secondary accredited institution in the fall.
To provide scholarships to three (3) deserving LPS high school graduating seniors intending to enter a post secondary accredited institution in the fall of 2013.
Applicants must demonstrate a record of service to members of their local community as documented through letters of recommendation. Examples of community service include promoting diversity through organizational work, assisting low-income families, the elderly, veterans, and or the disabled, membership in the Lincoln NAACP Youth Council, etc.
Completed applications must be submitted to the address shown below by April 26, 2013.

Voc Rehab’s Class of 2013 participants, who are interested in cars, have the opportunity to gain on-the-job training. Interested students must attend the informational meeting on April 3rd at 6-7 pm at the VR Office located at 3901 N. 27th St.

Motivated sophomores and juniors can earn college credits by starting their college careers at Loyola University. Information about dates, partial scholarships, & college credit is available at LUC.edu/summerscholars.
If interested in applying for the Oxbridge Academic Programs, apply at www.oxbridgeprograms.com. Students have the opportunity to study the arts in France, Oxford, Cambridge, Spain, or New York, Some scholarship are available.
Visit www.bu.edu/summer/highschool to learn more about taking classes at Boston University for high school honors, internship, summer challenge, research, college credit, summer preview, or experience. Dates and costs vary. Scholarships are available for honors and research programs.
On April 19th, at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., SCC-Beatrice, will host a hands-on experience about the day-to-day role of a pharmacy technician. See Ms. Burk in the Counseling Center to register for this free event. The registration deadline is April 12th.
