"Look Mom, One Foot!"
National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) and Rollerblade have teamed up to provide an exciting skating experience for young people in schools throughout the country! Rousseau was the lucky recipient of one of their Skate in School grants many years ago, providing everything we need to skate during PE class. Our goals simply are to learn safety (balance, stopping, rules of the road) and have fun on wheels! We skate indoors, on the playground, and on the city bike trail found just beyond the Rousseau playground! For over 14 years, all student in grades 3, 4 and 5 skate each year and have found it to be one of their favorites!
