FAFSA filing at North Star

FAFSA Changes

The traditional FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) submission date of Jan. 1st has changed to October 1st. In addition, families will use tax information from the prior year. The October 1st start date allows families to have more time to fill out this vital information using tax information on hand, and it provides additional time to evaluate the college’s financial aid award package.

EducationQuest comes regularly to North Star to help students and parents file their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). There is no charge for any EducationQuest service. Students need to bring all necessary 2019 Federal Tax copies and W-2’s, and other required items from the FAFSA checklist.

Appointments can also be made with the Downtown EducationQuest Office at 475-5222.
