It’s been awhile…….

I realize it has been awhile since I posted to my blog but I have started a new “gig” at two new schools.  It has been a fabulous change and I love the challenges of everyday! The year has started off with a positive bang!

OSMO – I love it!!!

maxresdefaultI know many of you have tried the Osmo Game System but in case you haven’t, I HIGHLY recommend giving it a try!  I used the system with multi-age students this past year and the problem-solving skills and creativity were incredible. It also proved to be a “language barrier BUSTER” when using it with my ELL students. I really encourage you to take a look and enjoy!

Teaching Teachers and Students

I have had the best time over the past month working with ELL teachers and their students. We have completed several research projects using Google Docs, Drawing and Slides.  I am reminded that my job is to “teach” the teachers as well as the students and what a wonderful experience it is when I get the opportunity to see how excited the teachers (and students) are to learn new techniques about the technology. In another classroom, I have demonstrated Augmented Reality and watched the teachers and students in amazement!  The excitement and learning from all has been heartwarming AND validating to my job. I say BRAVO to all the teachers and students for their hard work!
