Monday – Nov. 26, 2012

1. Students in P. 1,2,4, & 7 got their measurement quizzes back.  Notes are to be graded next.

2.  Began quick review of States of Matter and State Changes, Ch. 2-1 and Ch. 2-2.  HW – It would be a great idea to read starting on page 42 the chapter/sections mentioned above.

Next Quiz is Thursday Nov. 29th on States of Matter/ State Changes.

Next Topic is Physical Properties and Chemical vs. Physical changes!  Ch. 1-3

DIFF:  Students continue to present about science related books they have read.  The above works for Diff as well, only exception is that their quizzes are not yet in Pinnacle.

1.  Completed notes on Mass and Mass vs. Weight

2.  Took a Quick Quiz on Mass

3.  Began Volume w/ demo 1000ml = 1000 cm cubed (10cm x 10 cm x 10cm cube)

HW – handout given on Volume to read and complete to the best of their ability. DUE tomorrow.

Mon., Tue., & Wed – Oct 22-24, 2012

1. CRT (Unit Test) Review Packet given out Monday and in-class work time given to complete.

2.  A second day for work on Review Packet will be given either on Tuesday or Wednesday

3.  Computer Lab Interactive Review – 1 day either Tues. or Wednesday

DUE Thursday Oct. 25th – CRT Review Packet (Students Check their own!) DUE to turn in on Friday the day of the Test!

Friday – October 19, 2012

*  The last part of this week we have been finishing up our Earthquake (ch.2) notes and notes on Volcanoes (ch. 3).

1.  Practice Quiz given on Earthquakes and Volcanoes.  Checked in class.

2.  Review sheet given called Earth Analogies and on back side is Convection review.  DUE on Monday.  Students had time to start today in class – Some got done.

TEST over the UNIT is next week FRIDAY Oct. 26th.  A Test Review packet will be passed on on Monday and a work day will be given as well.

1.  Finished viewing Mystery of the MegaVolcano

2.  New note handout over Ch. 1-5.

HW – Read pages 32-36 Ch. 1-5 and complete the highlighted areas on your note sheet.  Define vocab – plate, transform boundary, divergent boundary, convergent boundary, and do arrow diagrams for all 3 boundaries.
