HOMEWORK: WRITE 8 sentences (in Spanish) for your “anuncio”  yes, they are rough drafts, but they need to be full sentences.

*Note: don’t write them first in English and translate.  Your vocabulary in English is much more extensive than in Spanish.  You’ll hinder your work trying to translate phrases and grammar structures we haven’t even learned yet.  Do your best solely in Spanish and we’ll go from there.

Anuncio de radio – SÉ UN VOLUNTARIO

SUMMATIVE ASSIGNMENT EN ESPAÑOL         DUE: 12/12/13

Vas a crear un anuncio para la radio.  Participas en una organización que apoya/hace los proyectos de acción social.  Necesitas convencer a los radioescuchas (listeners) que pueden ayudar/apoyar/participar con el proyecto.

Requirements:

  • 90-100 seconds in length.  (Yes, it will be timed)
  • No reading it off – MEMORIZED
  • Answers the questions: who, what, when, where, why, how
  • A minimum of:
    • 4 informal commands (3 affirmative, 1 negative)
    • 4 formal commands (3 affirmative, 1 negative)
    • 1 command – “nosotros” form (affirmative or negative)
    • Need written version (handwritten or typed – legible) of the “anuncio” to give Sra. before performing.  You need to turn in this rubric, as well.
    • May use one 3×5 notecard, with no more than 4 bullet points.  NO SENTENCES – again, NO READING OFF.
    • Be creative – if you want to do voices, you’re welcome to do so.
    • You may not repeat what others say.

The day it’s due, we will draw names for order.  If you aren’t ready the day this is due, the highest you can get is a 65%.  This is done individually, not in front of the class.
