1.  Greek/Latin Vocabulary Roots #2: Click on the link to see the powerpoint.  We finished the notes today; the quiz is Wednesday!  These vocabulary roots will help students become better readers.

2. Quick Write – Time travel.  We spent about 5-7 minutes writing in our notebooks on Monday.  This is a pre-reading activity for the short story, A Sound of Thunder.

3. We spent the remainder of the class reading A Sound of Thunder, by Ray Bradbury.  The story is found in our Elements of Literature book, but you can click on the title to access the story online.  We also practiced our Notice and Note reading strategies.  The lesson can be found here.
