1.  Subject/Predicate Pre-Testing: Students took another pre-test today – this is still a formative assessment.

2. Honoring Our Ancestors Essay Introduction:  This is a long term summative assignment that we started today.  Take a moment and read through the criteria, rubric, and attention getter tips.  Today and tomorrow we will focus on building ideas and starting the introduction.  We’ll also read a sample essay.  We’ll spend Friday and parts of next week in the computer lab typing.  This assignment is the final assessment for the First They Killed My Father unit, and the due date is next Friday, 9/26.
