Fourth grade is currently working on a junk art relief sculpture using found materials and some small donated items from Mrs. Northup. The relief design chosen by the student must encompass one art principle and the student must be able to define and defend the work they have chosen. The junk will be covered with aluminum foil and burnished to show the unique texture and details from the items chosen. The foil will then be painted with permanent ink to fill the cracks and crinkles from the aluminum foil to further show the texture of each piece of junk. These fine works of art will be finished before the art show and displayed in the display case!
