Coming up this week! {2/3-2/7}

It’s February! We have a lot of fun learning to look forward to this week!

Literacy
We are finishing Unit 6 this week! Our essential question is “How can you stay safe in bad weather?” We will be reviewing letters Hh, Ee, Ff, Rr, Bb, Ll, and Kk  this week. Our high-frequency words that we will review this week are he, are, is, little, my, she, was, with. Our vocabulary words are: safe, prepare, notice, celebration, & enough. Our category words this week are question words. Our grammar skill for the week is nouns with –s and -es. We will be taking the first half of our high-frequency word test this week. We will be tested over the following words: my, little, is, are, he, with

Math
This week we will be continuing to work in Unit 4. We will be focusing on partners of ten, teen numbers and equations, and addition and subtraction story problems. There will be homework on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week.

Writer’s Workshop…
This week we are continuing Quarter 3 writing! We will be working more on using sound words, adding details in our stories, writing big words, and using transition words. We are becoming writers and it is so exciting to see!

Integrated…
We are going to be starting our unit on Weather and Sun this week! Ask us what we are learning about!

Star of the Week…
We enjoyed learning about Will last week. Will favorite colors are blue and red and he wants to be a racer when he grows up. We are excited to learn about Olivia this week.

Don’t forget!
