Coming up this week! {10/28-11/1}
Welcome back for the second week in 2nd Quarter! We have a lot of exciting learning to look forward to this week!
Literacy…
We are continuing Unit 3! Our essential question is “What are the different sounds we hear?” We are going to continue practicing the ABC chant each day. We will be learning letter Nn this week. Our high-frequency word this week is and. Our vocabulary words are: listen, volume, chat, exclaimed, familiar. Our category words this week are action words. Our grammar skill for the week is complete sentences.
Math…
This week we will be continuing Unit 2 and learning more about numbers 1-10 and the +1 pattern. We will also work on identifying triangles and math stories. Your child will be bringing home their math homework folder on Wednesday and Friday this week. Please be sure to have your child complete their homework and return it the next day.
Writer’s Workshop…
This week we are continuing Quarter 2 writing! We are going to be working on using CAPS man, adding details in our pictures, and stretching and writing words using turtle talk.
Integrated…
We are going to start our Weather and Seasons unit this week! We will learn all about the seasons and severe weather. We can’t wait to tell you all about it!
Star of the Week…
We are excited to be learning all about Claire this week!
