2024 Nebraska State Thespian Festival

What Is It?

Nebraska Thespian Festival is an annual event that celebrates all things theatre! Join over 600 Nebraska high school theatre students to watch productions, compete in events, learn in professionally-taught workshops, audition for colleges, and compete for scholarships.

When is it?

January 4-6th, 2024 in Omaha

How much is it?

This will be updated when information is released to the members in Nebraska.

Where is it?

This year the festival will be in Omaha, NE. Performances wil be at the Holland Performing Arts Center. Students will stay at the Hilton Hotel in Omaha, two blocks from the Holland.

Why should I go?

  • You get to immerse yourself in theatre in 2 days!
  • You can participate in acting, design, tech, improv, and musical theatre competitions
  • You get to learn from professionals and college professors
  • You can audition for colleges
  • You can interview for scholarships
  • You get to have a great time with other theatre students from around the state
  • You will learn valuable skills
  • You get to bond with your thespian troupe!

You and your parent/guardian(s) fill out the following forms that can be found on Google Classroom for Drama Club:

  • Consent and Acceptance Form
  • Code of Conduct form
  • Health Form 

Tell Ms. Cooper if you are interested in competing in an individual/group/or scholarship event. This is an additional form. We will bring an improv team, a tech team, and numerous individual events to the competition.

Drama Club

Drama Club will meet the first Thursday of each month at 3:15 pm in the Black Box, room 144.
