Remembering A Tragedy 9/11~ Mr. Greg Bucholz

Earlier this week, we sat down with Mr. Bucholz to remember 9/11. Although this was a tough time, he told us his story. He was in Denver visiting family as fighter jets were flying overhead. They first thought that the planes were small until they got a better look. “As my wife and I were leaving for Wyoming, we were listening to the radio. A news alert came on telling us what was happening. So as many were watching, we were listening. As this was going on, police cars were parked on the sides of the roads checking cars for bombs and other weapons.”

Mr. Bucholz continues, “When we got to my sons house, we switched on the television and watched in disbelief. ‘Was this really happening?’ I kept having to ask myself. I was very concerned about the families that were there. Just listening to those phone calls, and realizing that this was true, was terrifying. The next day, as my wife and I were driving home, the song ‘Proud To Be An American’ came on. As we listening, I looked at my wife and said, ‘Things will never be the same again.’ ” And Mr. Bucholz was right, nothing is the same. But as our country stands strong, we look enemies in the eye and say, “All for one and one for all.”
