Last Weekly Update!

This will be the last blog post for this school year. This week we have spent time learning about who works with insects and their job titles. We also spent time celebrating and talking about our last days of preschool.

Our small groups this week had our students writing letters in shaving cream, playing ping pong pick up, and predicting if certain items would sink or float.

Our second step lessons this week were focused on our students moving on to kindergarten. We talked about how to make friends, how to be a good friend, and took a tour of Kloefkorn to see the rooms that they might be in next year.

We ended our week watching the Kloefkornucopia parade and cheering on our fellow Cubs!

Weekly Update 5/9-5/13

This week we talked about baby insects and the insect life cycle. We talked about how insects go through metamorphosis and what each stage of life is called. As an added bonus, our praying mantises  hatched and we were able to release them outside!

Our small groups this week included practicing writing letters and numbers, a word hunt in the hallway, and moving our bodies like insects and animals.

Our social emotional curriculum was focused on our students moving to kindergarten next year. Our oldest group of students practiced our listening rules and talked about what they are most excited about for next year.
