Course Description:  This course provides instruction developing an understanding of basic math computation and concept applications. Skills addressed include whole numbers; number theory; fractions; money; decimals; ratio and proportion; percent; introduction to geometry; metric and customary measurement; measurement of circles and cylinders; time usage; graphing; scale drawing; and introduction to algebra. Students may be enrolled in this class every semester based on the Middle School Life Skills guidelines and the recommendations of the IEP team.

Instruction is based upon students needs.

Course Objectives:

Students will be able to work with whole numbers by adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.

Students will be able to solve basic word problems.
