LUX INTRAMURAL CROSS COUNTRY

The Lux Intramural program is designed to teach young people the basic fundamentals of athletic activities, and provide a safe and fun arena for them to develop their skills, and participate in the designated activity in a controlled environment.  Participants will be taught to value qualities like: having a positive attitude, fair play, teamwork, being physically fit and demonstrating good character even in competition.

Cross Country practice will begin Wednesday, August 31st.  Participants will be expected to get changed, and be out to practice by 3:05.  Rides need to be available to pick students up by 4:30.  Meets will be held on Saturday mornings at Roper Park with the first race starting at 8:30, and the second when the first is finished.

The following guidelines for players at Lux Middle School must be followed:

Students need to attend all practices, unless excused by a note from their parent/guardian.  Notes should be given to Mr. Burch (Athletic Director) prior to missing the practice if possible.  Being absent from school due to illness does not require a note from home to be excused.  Unexcused absences will result in reduced playing time, or a possible suspension from play.

Participants will follow all Lux Middle School rules when participating in the intramural program.

Please get a note to Mr. Burch if you are not going to be able to participate in one of the scheduled meets.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by email at:  bburch@lps.org, or by calling the school at: 402-436-1220.

Sincerely,

Brent Burch

Lux Athletic Director
