Next week is a short week with school on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday only.
There is no school on Tuesday (April 25) due to PLC, and no school on Friday (April 28) due to teacher plan day.
The “Week of the Young Child” is an annual celebration hosted by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers and families. The purpose of this week of celebration is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families, and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.

We’re so excited for a week-long celebration of our youngest learners! You can find out more information on this celebration at http://www.naeyc.org/woyc.
In our small groups we will be making musical instruments, exploring paint with roller sponges, and tasting all parts of a plant. We will also be visiting Mrs. Moats, the school aged music teacher, for some musical fun! We now have learned all of alphabet letters! Next week we will be reviewing uncommon 2-D shapes. A new friend Aden begins Monday!
It’s not too late! If you have not submitted a recipe yet, please do so! My goal is to get one recipe from each family, and I haven’t heard from all of you yet. I have extended the deadline to May 5. We would love to have your family contribute to our class cookbook!
Have a great weekend!
