It’s amazing what kids will drink if you offer them bouncy balls! I have been giving the second graders prizes all year for drinking white milk instead of chocolate. And they don’t get a prize every day. In fact, they might get a prize every two weeks, but they still drink white every day. It has worked very successfully. Not everyone is motivated by prizes, granted, but the majority are. Don’t let anyone tell you that they MUST serve chocolate milk because kids won’t drink white. Second grade is scarfing white down to get bouncy balls. Bouncy balls for white milk…amazing.
