I’m combining two rules this week since they go together so well and are incredibly brief.
Rule 20 – It’s not food if it arrived through the window of your car.
Rule 21 – It’s not food if it’s called by the same name in every language. (Think Big Mac, Cheetos, Pringles.)
Please don’t bristle! I know these may seem extreme, but if you take time to ruminate on the past rules, I think you’ll find these are quite sensible and essential to healthy eating.
The tips are courtesy of Michael Pollan’s book Food Rules: An Eater’s Manual. New York: Penguin, 2009.
Happy, Healthy Eating!
