Head Varsity Coach: Thomas Nettleton
I am entering my 10th year leading the program. I have 19 years of coaching experience at many levels ranging from Micro U6 to College. I have coached at many levels within the game of soccer here in Nebraska. I played and coached at Hastings College where I was fortunate to be part of a successful program. I earned a BA in Social Science Education, a Masters in Physical Education, and a Masters in Historical Studies (NWU). At Hastings College I learned a great deal on how to run a program and get the best from student athletes on the field and in the classroom. All of my experiences have helped me formulate my philosophy in regards to player and team development.
- In 10 years experience at LSW we have maintained high standards of excellence in the classroom and on the playing field. The program GPA is above 3.5 and many student athletes move on to playing at the collegiate level.

Junior Varsity Coach: Alisha Stopp
Coach Stopp is member of the Coaching Staff at LSW. She has lived in Lincoln her entire life. A proud Lincolnite, Coach Stopp was a Southeast Knight. After her high school experience she played soccer at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Graduating from NWU she started teaching in LPS here at LSW. While teaching she has continued her education and earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. Coach Stopp brings with her playing experience, a strong passion for educating, and has an incredible work ethic. Her student-athlete centered approach is an asset for the LSW Girls Soccer Program. She has also coached for CSA including micro-high school aged girls.
Coach Stopp has been married for 15 years and has two awesome daughters Ayla and Avryn…likely to be future Silver Hawks!!!
Reserve Coach: Katie Kuhn
Coach Bayless is entering her 5th year helping our Girls Soccer program. She currently teaches Algebra and Pre-Calculus at Lincoln High School. Coach Bayless is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2017. She was born and raised in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln Pius X in 2013.
Coach Bayless is a lifetime soccer player that brings a passion for the sport and an expertise in the game of soccer and the development of student-athletes. This is her first year as the Reserve Coach after serving as a Varsity Assistant.
