Project Tomorrow / Speak Up Survey

Speak Up 2008

In the short few weeks we have before winter break, students in LPS computer classes (K-12) will be participating in “Speak Up,” an annual national research project, facilitated by Project Tomorrow, which uses an online survey to collect student, teacher, administrator, and parent views about key educational topics relating to technology. The survey will yield building and district data that can be used to inform the ongoing development and refinement of technology plans.

From the Project Tomorrow / Speak Up website:

“Speak Up is an annual national research project facilitated by Project Tomorrow. The purpose of the project is to:

  • Collect and report the unfiltered feedback from students, parents and teachers on key educational issues.
  • Use the data to stimulate local conversations.
  • Raise national awareness about the importance of including the viewpoints of students, parents, and teachers in the education dialogue.”

I’m looking forward to the seeing the results… and will surely talk more about them when they arrive in February!
