The interviewing speech is the culminating project for the interpersonal communication unit – and this semester it will also be the final speech.
Students are to:
1. Pick a person who is at least 10 years older than they are.
2. Find out the approximate time that person was in high school. (Works better the more difference there is in times).
3. Research that particular time period.
4. Write at least 25 questions that can/should include questions about high school, pop culture, political times, etc.
5. Write a comparison speech about the interview that includes why they chose that person, areas they covered in the interview, and what were some major differences and similarities between their experiences and the person they interviewed.
